The Heavy Howl
The Heavy Howl
The east village of New York is home to The Heavy Howl. The band was formed by vocalist/guitarist Steven Williams in 2015 after joining forces with bassist Amanda Chessa, an old high school friend, and drummer Joel Frost through the all-too-rare Craigslist success story. Their self-released EP New Mistake, a selection of songs that showcased the groups penchant for catchy "low rock", led to the band teaming up with Velvet Elk Records for their follow up single. Recorded at Rivington 66 by Nico Chiotellis (David Waxman, Le Rev), "Ponderosa" is set to hit the streets in July 2017.

"Everything we track is live in the studio in two or three takes with as little overdubs as possible", Williams says, "we really push for the recordings to be an accurate representation of the energy of our live performances."

The Heavy Howl is:
Steven Williams - vocals/guitar (Peculiar Gentlemen, Badacaster)
Amanda Chessa - vocals/bass (The Old Fashions)
Joel Frost - drums (Tragedy)
Del Water Gap
Del Water Gap
The story of Del Water Gap is one rooted in the Do It Yourself mantra. From the band’s humble beginnings (a teenaged S. Holden Jaffe with a laptop and a Martin D-15M in a converted storage closet), to their successful first attempt at an extended play (“Tremendous” in the words of New York City’s WAWSTSF),and serendipitous development (Jaffe met his collaborators, Charles Schlinkert and William Evans, during New York’s infamous Hurricane Sandy blackout), Del Water Gap has championed the opportunity to remain self sufficient in their musical pursuit.

Since the release of their sophomore EP, Sleeping (Extended Play) in May of 2014, Del Water Gap has experienced a growth in local and international popularity, securing invites to play Sofar Sounds in Reykjavik Iceland, a string of showcases at CMJ 2014, Chris Douridas’ renowned School Night! at Brooklyn, and Communion Records’ Club Night at Rockwood Music Hall.

The band has also filled support and headline spots at Bowery Ballroom, Mercury Lounge, Highline Ballroom, and Baby’s All Right.

In November of 2015, Del Water Gap released their newest self-produced creation, “Cut The Rope” and it’s worthy b-side “Lamplight”, available on limited edition 7” vinyl and as a digital download worldwide.

The group currently lives and works out of Brooklyn, NY, making a regular pilgrimage upstate to write and record in their man-cave studio.
KINSEY
KINSEY
KINSEY is the immaculately conceived lovechild of multi-instrumentalist Nick Kinsey, whose debut LP "My Loneliest Debut" lives "at the intersection of Bob Dylan, Wilco and Neutral Milk Hotel" (The Wild Honey Pie). Kinsey wrote, recorded, and produced the record in a chicken shack in upstate New York. Apart from the bass (contributed by The Step Kids bassist Dan Edinberg), he made all the sounds thereon. No stranger to the stage, Kinsey cut his teeth playing drums with the likes of Elvis Perkins in Dearland, AA Bondy, and A.C. Newman. "My Loneliest Debut" was released in September '15 at which point KINSEY hit the road for months opening for Elvis Perkins and Cold War Kids in Europe and the US.
