High Waisted
High Waisted
Quirky 60's garage rock is re-imagined from the nose of a surfboard, making High Waisted feel like a psychedelic lullaby. NYC surf rockers with pop sensibilities and an affliction for rock and roll. They’ve been called NME Magazine’s “buzz band to watch,” declared “the ultimate party band” by GQ and have received praise from Consequence of Sound, Noisey, and Paste. With their sophomore album underway, the band released an interactive 360 degree music video for their track "Hey Hey" in collaboration with Refinery29, performed a live session at Nylon Magazine, as well as a stripped down set for Sofar Sounds. Their debut album, “On Ludlow” was recorded at Dreamland Studio in Woodstock, NY, with renowned producer Bryan Pugh. The group spent most of 2016 touring the country, playing both Riot Fest in Chicago and Denver as well as supporting such acts as Har Mar Superstar, Diarrhea Planet, La Sera, Jessica Hernandez, and La Luz. Dye also performs with The Hold Steady. High Waisted were declared one of the buzziest bands at SXSW 2017 and currently are on tour supporting a split 7” (Little Dickman Records) featuring The Coax. Every show is a party when High Waisted’s lo-fi fuzzy bass, reverb drenched guitars and radiant harmonies mesh to create the melodies of your wave-crashed daydreams.
The Hundred Hounds
The Hundred Hounds
Brooklyn four-piece Hundred Hounds may be cut from the same heavy cloth as rugged neo-rockers like Rival Sons and Band of Skulls, but they dress their platform-shoe riffs and drop-dead drums in dazzling, even fantastical suits: tales of prophets and peacemakers, opium dreams and sad super-heroes, laid over song structures that can scream Bollywood, Baroque, Urban Blues or Pub Rock. With members hailing from Ireland, Texas, Paris and New York, they're just your typical trans-Atlantic indie-arena band. Catch 'em while the stadiums are still small.
Beechwood
Beechwood
The Coax
The Coax
The Coax is a psych-rock outfit based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Heavily influenced by garage bands from the sixties and rock and roll bands from the seventies, their post-punk sound captured in studio is replicated live with a raw energy that is undeniable.
