Belgian singer-songwriter and composer Stromae had been out of the spotlight for several years before putting out his third studio album this past spring. “Multitude is the perfect return for such a formidable musical talent, serving not only as a reminder of his innovative talents,” raves Clash Music, “but also highlighting how much richer his soundscaping and storytelling has grown over his hiatus.” Now touring North America with the new LP — and South African singer-songwriter, rapper, poet and actress Sho Madjozi as an opener — Stromae landed at Madison Square Garden on Monday, his first of two nights at “the world’s most famous arena.”
